Hello again!! Time for another post I think.I know it has been a while and my only excuse is my lack of inspiration towards writing.
Stephens new job is going well. It's so nice to see him excited to go to work now. It's hard to believe that this is his third week there already.Time is just going so fast. His first 2 weeks were training and now he is pretty much on his own although there is always someone there to help him when he doesn't understand something. We are really hoping that after this temp job is over they will hire him full time or at least he will get another Temp position.Stephens new schedule was a little bit hard for me to get use to at first.Stephen gets home at 6 now and needs dinner ready when he gets home so that he can eat and go right to studing.Makes for alot of lonely hours for me.At first I felt neglected but I know he has to do all of this in order to better support our family.I have learned to spend my night hours doing things around the house.I actully enjoy the quiet hours cleaning, doing dishes, watching movies, and reading.
A nice thing about the new job is that he has weekends off.For the first time is our life together we can do things on the weekends. He usualy doesn't have home work to do either since both of his professors like to give them things on Sunday nights and they are all due on Fridays.About 2 weeks ago we were able to buy a new toy.A recliner!!My legs have been so bad with this pregnancy and the Dr wanted me to put my legs up more often so we decided that a recliner would be a smart purchase, not to mention that it will come in handy to rock baby to sleep. Many nights I get in my recliner to read a book and end up falling to sleep right there. Then when Stephen is finally ready to go to bed after his home work is done he wakes me up to go to bed.Our Cat Boxer thinks that we bought the recliner for him.I often get home to find him curled up in the recliner.
We started our Lamaze class last Tuesday. We have it 3 Tuesday nights from 6-9.I must say it is very interesting.Last Tuesday we had an almost 3 hour lecture and then some practice on breathing.Do you really use the silly breathing? If you do is it something that you really need to practice doing?I'm looking forward to hearing what you seasoned mothers have to say about this.Last night we got to watch 3 births.Watching the movies made me a little nervious and feel like I just want to get it over with now.Too bad baby isn't done baking yet and I have 9 more weeks.I think God made pregnancy so long to teach us patience.
My Mom and Mother in Law Julie are throwing me a baby shower on March 29th for Stephens family and our friends that live around here. Then they are going to have another one in April for all of my Friends and Family in Syracuse.I am really looking forward to them but at the same time I don't know where I am going to put all of the babies stuff. The basement is already feeling crowded.I have been going through things a little at a time and getting rid of things we don't really need.I have already made a few trips to the Salvation Army but I still don't seem to have room.Stephens parents have offered for us to store some things at their house and I think we might have to.
That will have to be all for now.My next class is due any minute!!

If you didn't need the breathing, do you think they would make you practice it sooo long?? During labor, it is so easy to begin to hyperventilate and that is bad for you and baby. Also, concentrating on breathing is a very good distraction to the contractions. AND it's a great way for Daddy to help you. Adam was awesome when it came to breathing "with" me. Having him do the breathing too, really helped the contraction to seem to pass faster. When is your second shower? I'll be gone the last week in April, so I hope it's not when I am gone!!
hi there! thanks for the update! you're great at giving us a glimpse into your life from your blog. I'm so glad Stephen's job is going well, and that you have weekends together. Jeremy is getting a weekly day off for the first time this week - he has been working 6 days a week for almost 4 years. We won't know what to do with ourselves! :)
if you get a chance, try to see "the business of being born" documentary - it has some really beautiful births on it and may encourage you in doing things a little more natural. the way they portray birth is really nice - not scary, peaceful and natural. be aware - this is a video showing the birth process - not for kids or guys really! :)
